As the world becomes more uncertain, and nature and modern society seem to be at odds with each other, we often search for and hold on to what is familiar and what feels safe. The safe and familiar can be beliefs and behaviours, but we can also find shelter in the old stories. These are the ancient myths. They have a common thread no matter where in the world they have been told. Even though ancient, their wisdom is timeless. When told, a myth gives us a sense of belonging to something larger and far-reaching, a myth connects the everyday to the greater cosmos. A place where Gods, Goddesses and other mythological beings and helpers are waiting to inspire those who are open to encounter and meet them in stories of old and new.
One such myth exists the world over, from east to west, and north to south. Three sisters in different forms are said to live somewhere in the betwixt and the between, allotting and helping each Soul to enter this world fully gifted with destiny. However what myth or storybook would be complete without a few twists of fate along the way.
The Moirai are the Greek version of this myth. They are known as the sisters of Fate and Destiny. They were sisters that not even the Gods could dissuade or persuade. In this series of online meetings, we shall encounter and work with: Clotho, the weaver of life; Lachesis, the guide and observer of life’s journey; and Atropos, who marks the end of human earthly existence.
Using this ancient storyline, we will explore our unique thread of life to ground us in our own gifted nature. It is here we will find the familiar and the belonging. Colour PsychoDynamics, Psychodrama, Sociodrama, Storytelling and Creative Arts will be the tools guiding and supporting us on this mythological depth encounter.
