The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse feature in the Book of Revelations in the Bible’s New Testament. They are Conquest, War, Famine and Death. What if we renamed the Horsemen for our times as Nuclear War, Pandemics, Global Warming and, controversially perhaps, ArtificiaI Intelligence or AI? All four are challenging us NOW with massive questions, fears, and calls for action in the face of the potential for the modern world to experience its own Apocalypse.

In this workshop, we will explore both the possible benefits of the rapid development of AI, as well as how threatening all these four forces currently are. How are people coping or not coping with them?
The scene we use could be based on an American western movie, where the Horsemen are the ‘strangers’ riding into a small town and how the various people (roles) – Sheriff, Lawyer, Bar Owner, Rancher, etc. plan to deal with them. Might the Horsemen already have their allies in town? What defences do the townsfolk have? Will they be effective?

Intrigued – come along and join the action on Sunday, September 17, 2023
