Dione Simmons, LPC-S, PhDC
Dione Simmons is an LPC-S, PhD Candidate.
She owns and is the clinical director of Wellness Counseling Services, LLC located in Arlington, TX. Her private practice assist individuals of all ethnic backgrounds, genders, race and social economic states. She has a community outreach program that offers individuals couples and families affordable counseling for those without insurance. Her passion for helping others stems from her 17 years working for Child Protective Services. Being a proud mother and an adult with ASD she is a devoted advocate for individuals with ASD and lends her time to organization that work with the special needs community. Dione will receive her PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy December 2023. She earned a master’s degree from Amberton University in 2011 and her B.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling from Southern University and A&M College located in Baton Rouge, La in 1999. She is a native of New Orleans, “WHO DAT!” and the youngest of sixteen children. Having eighteen people in a four-bedroom home with one bath has taught her how to have a lot of patience.
