Workshop Description:
Our bodies are shaped not only by personal experiences but also by societal and cultural influences. Body Mapping is a powerful tool that can be used therapeutically, to explore stress, to understand team dynamics, and sociodramatically to examine how social and cultural factors shape our experience of the body.In this interactive workshop, participants will engage in body mapping exercises to explore the unspoken narratives embedded in touch, movement, and embodied relationships. We will examine who gets touched, where, by whom, and how issues of power, gender, age, and culture influence these interactions.Previously offered to final-year clinical psychology students, this workshop provided deep insights into boundaries, connection, and the body as a site of both personal and collective experience. Whether you are a therapist, coach, or facilitator, this session offers practical applications for working with individuals and groups.
