Workshop Description:
In light of the challenging times we face locally, nationally, and globally, many of us find ourselves in a state of despair. This workshop invites you to explore ways of living positively amidst these difficulties through the framework of sociodrama.
Workshop Focus:
This sociodrama workshop will help participants find positive approaches to the various roles we hold at home and at work, even during challenging times. The workshop is grounded in Moreno’s three stages of healing:
Psychodrama: Focused therapy for an individual within a group context.
Sociodrama: The group acts as the protagonist, addressing collective experiences.
Sociatry: Addressing the health and well-being of society as a whole.
Responses to Despair:
We will explore alternative ways of thinking that emphasize critical moments where there is potential to create a shift in power.
Preparation for Action:
Establishing connections locally, nationally, and internationally among organizations advocating for change.
Resilience Building:
As Rupert Read aptly states, "Ashes are now inevitable. What grows out of them is all to play for."
Individually: Making informed decisions about where and how to live.
Nationally: Encouraging governments to prepare proactively for future challenges rather than maintaining the status quo.
Join us in this sociodrama workshop to develop strategies for resilience and positive living in the face of global challenges.
